Week 1

What is the relationship between arts and audiences?

1) We share stories to express our knowledge ad experiences and this has been going on for centuries. The storyteller usually tells story to entertain people because there were not may things to do back then.
2) A lot of stories have morals and morals help us in real life situations. It will give you advice for what and what not to do.
3) We can create musical and audio stories by playing instruments in the background. This will change the mood of the audience

The art and music class were together and were learnt about shadow puppet theatre performances. We watched some You tube videos that showed performances based on the Ramayana story. The Ramayana is about an Indian Story related to the festival called Diwali. The Ramayana is an ancient Sanskrit epic which follows Prince Rama's expedition to rescue his beloved wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana with the help of an army of monkeys. Then we had to watched a video of Indonesian Gamelan music to guide the story of Ramayana.
